Crash battles with words on the streets every day. Homeless and down on his luck, his fortunes change when he stumbles upon a book of jokes, discovering these words may prove to be his secret weapon. Suddenly faced with a meteoric rise to stardom, Crash must contend with his abruptly changing world. Somewhere between hope and reality, in this mashup of stand up and theatre, lies his story.

Four monologues and short plays explore themes of auditioning, waiting to go onstage, and how to be a good audience member.

This December, River City Poets are back at Firehouse for an evening of inspiration and camaraderie! We'll kick off the night with time to grab a drink at the bar & reconnect with fellow poet-peeps, then get the poetry rolling with feature performances by some folks you may know, ending the night with an open mic opportunity under the bright lights of Firehouse's center stage. Some plays are a quiet revolution about loud things. Some plays are about the stories we carry in our bones. Inspired by true stories, Memories of Overdevelopment is a documentary sharing what people remember about dictatorships where they grew up, how they survived, and why they left. 

It's 1983, the evening before Dr. Sally Ride's historic space flight. Hundreds of miles from the launch, a group of women with passionate opinions bump up against American norms of sex & power in this intimate snapshot of queer anti-heroines.

Divorce Diaries is a national one woman comedy show and comedy special on Amazon Prime Video- created and starring Michele Traina. It focuses on Michele's post divorce journey including being a single mom, teaching kids with special needs and dating men with special needs.

Michele's travelled throughout the country with Divorce Diaries including a guest appearance with Chippendales Las Vegas, Tamron Hall, and on Wendy Williams.

After committing an unforgivable crime, Leroy is granted one final wish: a chance to make amends with his long-lost lover Berta. Their reunion swells from a quarrelsome conjuring of the past to an impassioned plot to escape their impending fate. The play is a fictional origin story of the prison chain gang song "Berta, Berta" which originated on the Parchman Farm, Mississippi State Penitentiary.
